Derry City's Michael Duffy has won the PFA Ireland Men's Player of the Year award for 2025.

Duffy was the Candystripes top goalscorer this season, netting 12 goals and also registering 11 assists.

The winger has recently signed a new contract which will see him remain at the Brandywell until the end of the 2028 season.

Tiernan Lynch's side finished the league campaign in second place, three points behind champions Shamrock Rovers.

Duffy came up through the ranks at the Brandywell and moved to Celtic in 2015 before having loan spells at multiple Scottish sides.

The 31-year-old returned to the Premier Division to play for Dundalk before coming back to Derry City in 2022.

Duffy has played a pivotal role in the Candystripes side since he re-joined in 2022 with the 31-year-old netting 27 goals so far since his return to a red and white shirt.

Derry keeper Brian Maher was also named in the First Division's Team of the Year alongside Duffy.
