Brasileirão title could be decided next round, check the table

The Brasileirão champion could be decided as early as the next round!

This is because, on Saturday (22), Flamengo defeated RB Bragantino 3-0, while Palmeiras drew 0-0 with Fluminense.

Now, the standings have Flamengo leading with 74 points and Palmeiras in second place with 70.

To be crowned champions in the 36th round, Flamengo will need to beat Atlético-MG and hope for a Palmeiras loss against Grêmio in the South.

Both matches are scheduled for Tuesday (25), at 9:30 PM (Brasília time).

Palmeiras, on the other hand, will need to make up a FOUR-point difference in the final stretch to become Brazilian champions.

In other words, if Fla earns four points (one win, one draw, and one loss), Verdão will have to win ALL their matches.

And what a week ahead! In addition to battling for the Brasileirão title, the clubs will also decide who will be the Libertadores champion.

Next Saturday (29), starting at 6 PM, Palmeiras and Flamengo will play the grand final of the continental tournament in Lima, Peru.

After the Libertadores, Fla will still play against Ceará (home) and Mirassol (away). Meanwhile, Verdão will visit Atlético-MG and Ceará.

35th Round Matches ?️

A little earlier, on Saturday (22), Botafogo beat Grêmio 3-2 and secured a spot in the Libertadores.

The 35th round of the Brasileirão will have four more matches on Sunday (23) and two more on Monday (24).

On Monday (24), for example, Internacional and Santos will face off in a direct clash - probably WITHOUT Neymar.
