The crunch time of the Icon League has begun: only two matchdays remain until the Play-Ins – and it could hardly be more exciting. Places five through nine are tied on points, just two points behind the team in third place. Every point, every goal can make the difference now.

The teams from tenth place downward are already too far behind to break into the top eight. However, out of the nine teams ahead of them, one will also miss out on making the cut.

It is almost impossible to predict who it will be in the end. However, current form does provide a clue. We have analyzed the last five matchdays and created a form table that shows who is currently on the rise and who is losing ground.

At the top of the form table are the Berlin Underdogs, who have won all of their last five games. Together with Two Stripes United, they also lead the actual standings – and are the only teams already guaranteed a spot in the top eight.

Things get really exciting just behind them: The Plyrs and OneFootball are among the best teams in the form table, but in the overall standings, they are only in 9th and 8th place. This means they are still in acute danger of missing out on the top eight. However, their strong current form could be exactly the advantage they need in the final two matchdays to stage a late comeback into the final round.

Bavarian Clique, Fokus Eagles, The Pack, and DNA follow in the midfield. Their positions in the form table are mirrored in the actual standings. For these teams, the remaining schedule will be crucial – we have already provided a detailed analysis of this here.

At the bottom of the form table, Berlin City stands out in particular. The reigning champion has lost its last three matches and has dropped from first to fourth place in the standings. The lead over 9th place is now just a single point. If Berlin fails to stop their negative trend, they even risk missing the final in Vienna – a scenario that seemed almost unthinkable just a few weeks ago.
