⚠️ Neymar picks up new injury, unlikely to play for Santos in 2025

The greatest idol of Santos in the last decade, Neymar might not be on the field to help the club avoid another relegation in the Brasileirão.

According to ge, the number 10 suffered a meniscus injury in his left knee and will likely miss the last three games remaining for Peixe in the championship.

On the last November 19, Neymar felt discomfort in his left knee during the match against Mirassol, at Vila Belmiro, and was spared from the decisive game against Inter, last Monday (24), at Beira-Rio.

Santos opens the Z-4 (17th place) with 38 points and still plays against Sport (11/28), at Vila Belmiro, visits Juventude (12/03), and ends the competition hosting Cruzeiro (12/07).

Since the severe injury to his left knee in October 2023, when he was playing for the Brazilian National Team against Uruguay, requiring surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament, Neymar has been accumulating physical problems.

The following month, Neymar had an injury to the semimembranosus muscle of his left thigh, in a match against Atlético-MG, already in the Brasileirão.

In September, Peixe's number 10 suffered a grade 2 injury to the rectus femoris muscle of his right thigh.

The repeated injuries and lack of continuity put Neymar's participation in the 2026 World Cup at risk, as coach Carlo Ancelotti has reiterated the need to have 100% healthy players for the tournament.
