Club América has confirmed a muscular setback for one of its international stars.

Alejandro Zendejas will not take part in the United States’ first friendly against Ecuador, as Mauricio Pochettino confirmed yesterday, and today we know the reason.

“Club América reports that our player Alejandro Zendejas experienced muscle overload in his left thigh while in camp with the United States National Team,” the club explained in a statement.

The player will continue his recovery process without leaving the camp.
