AS Monaco officially announced this Friday the dismissal of their coach, Adi Hütter. The Austrian coach leaves the position after two seasons and two months in charge of the Principality team.

The decision comes after a disappointing start to the season for the Monegasques. The club has not achieved the expected results in either Ligue 1 or the Champions League.

Among the most notable setbacks is the resounding 4-1 defeat against Bruges in the Champions League group stage. This is compounded by the recent 2-2 draw against OGC Nice, despite having played with an extra man for much of the match.

According to sources close to the club, the management has lost confidence in Hütter's ability to turn the situation around. 

In the coming hours, Belgian Sébastien Pocognoli, current coach of Union Saint-Gilloise, will be named the new coach of AS Monaco. The club hopes that his arrival will bring energy and results to a team that needs to rediscover victory.
